NOBR
This line might go on for quite a ways because the NOBR tag was used which
disables automatic line breaks. As you can probably tell, NOBR stands for NO
BREAKS. So, this entire paragraph will be presented as a single line. It's
not likely you'll want to use NOBR very often, but it's there if you want to
use it!
TITLE
Inspect the source for this page. Notice that within the HEAD section of
this page there is a TITLE tag. Your web browser probably displays this
title at the top of its window. Incorporation of this tag is simple and
easy.
META
The META tag presents information which is not seen by the user, but which
is important to the user's computer and to search engines such as Google or
Yahoo! The META tags on this page present information about the keywords
found on the page, a description of the page, an expiration date, and a
revisit-after time. Search engines use the keywords and description, in
addition to page content and other factors, to help them to help their users
to find information on the web.
By setting the expiration date to a date which has already passed, the
user's computer is encouraged not to cache the page. This date can also be
set to a future date to inform the user's computer to store the page until
the specified date, but to reload it after that.
Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Ask.com, and other search engines and web indexes are
also scanning the web for new pages and changes in the content of pages. The
revisit-after value for the name attribute of the META tag provides a clue
to the search robots used by these companies as to how often to revisit a
page. If you frequently update a page a short time may be specified here. If
updates are rare, a longer time should be specified.

ASSIGNMENT:
Create a simple page on which you present information about the META tag.
You should do some web research about the META tag and present at least five
values which can be used with the name attribute which are not presented in
this lesson. Explain the purpose of each of these values.
