Horizontal Rules
The HR tag creates a horizontal rule (a line across the page). It is commonly used to separate sections of a page and for simply decorating the page.



Take a look at the source code for this page and see how the three HRs above were created. You will notice that the HR tag includes three attributes which the user can set: size, width, and style. The style attribute then defines the color using a syntax which you haven't seen before in this unit. Experiment with HRs in your pages. BTW, what does the BR tag do???
