The -or Letter Pattern
There are a few words in this unit which contain the -or letter pattern.
Here they are:
torch porch wort
worm enormous storm
visitors
Most of the time the -or pattern sounds like the word "or" (which is the
case in the words torch, porch, wort, enormous, and storm), but sometimes
the -or pattern sounds like the "er" sound (which is the case in the word
worm).
Different Kinds of Nouns
Here are some examples of pronouns, proper nouns, and nouns:
PRONOUN PROPER NOUN NOUN
my Harry word
our Halloween onion
his July waves
her Wednesday storm
The pronouns listed above are not just pronouns, they are also possessive
pronouns since they can be used to show that something belongs to someone or
something. Other pronouns include words like: he, she, it, they, and we.
