Analogies
Analogies can be a lot of fun and they can sometime be quite tricky. Here
are a few more for your amusement.
Band is to and as cart is to art.
Anchor is to boat as roots are to tree.
Pig is to pork as cow is to beef.
You should try to write a few analogies of your own. Here's an easy one to
solve.
Mountain is to hiking as ocean is to _________.
This is not a very good analogy riddle since there are a few possibly
answers. Diving, surfing, fishing, swimming are all reasonble answers.
Probably swimming is the best answer since it most closely resembles hiking
since it requires less equipment than the other alternatives.
Turning this analogy around doesn't help much.
Hiking is to mountain as swimming is to __________.
Here reasonable answers include swimming pool, lake, river, pond, ocean,
etc. It's really difficult to pick a best answer from these choices.
