Plural Nouns

A noun, as you know, is a word that names a person, place, or thing. A plural noun names more than one person, place, or thing. Nouns which name only one item are called singular.


      SINGULAR NOUN		PLURAL NOUN

       lime			  limes
       stone			  stones
       mammal			  mammals
       coyote			  coyotes
       crime			  crimes
       fort			  forts

A lot of the time you can just add an "s" to the end of a noun to pluralize it. These are the easiest nouns to pluralize. Here are a few more of these easy to pluralize nouns:
