Arithmetic - Number Sense - Missing Numbers

Sometimes students are given problems where they are presented with a sequence of numbers, but one number is missing from the sequence. The student is then asked to identify the missing number. Here's such a problem:

 IDENTIFY THE MISSING NUMBER:

      MISSING NUMBER: 6

If the student really knows the counting numbers, then the student should be able to identify any number that might happen to be missing from the sequence. Here's another example:

 IDENTIFY THE MISSING NUMBER:

    MISSING NUMBER: 3

NOTE: The following applet activity accepts input from the numbers above the letter keys. Input from the numeric keypad will not work.
